2006-03-29 Good For Cramming
I have to confess, that I only used four or five chapters from this book, so I am probably not the best person to be reviewing it. The chapters I used were the ones more specific to geriatrics, e.g. falls, palliative care, strokes, etc. The chapters were all succinct and lucid and therefore easy to digest. My biggest qualm was the drab presentation and the over use of bullet points. I don't tend to learn from bullet point as I tend to read them quicker and therefore take less in.I used this book the day before my exam, and it seemed to provide most of the information that I needed, but not all. Therefore if you are intending to use this as last minute revision, I would recommend it. However, if you after a textbook which is more interesting to read or you have an interest in geriatric medicine, then look elsewhere.
