2008-03-27 Good basic textbook
This book is ideal for an easy to read, concise overview of psychiatry. I have tended to like the 'At a Glance' series of books, as they manage to give a lot of information with little effort in reading them, and this book is no exception. I read this as a non-psychiatrist in preparation for training in psychiatry, to revise the subject as it is a while since I left medical school. This was ideal, as it is not overfacing and has brought my basic knowledge up to date. Yes, it does not go into great depth and detail, but is a stepping stone to get a feel for psychiatry and quick revision aid before moving onto more complex textssimilar books
