2004-11-06 Some useful information, but very tedious
I purchased this book as part of my reading-list for my degree in Fashion Marketing, unfortunately I found it extremely tiresome to read. Jones is overly concerned with constantly quoting other marketing books, rather than putting forward his own views and ideas. The text is contsantly inserted with bibliographical information referring to the quotes used - this makes it hard to follow the point which Jones is trying to make, and also prevents the writing from flowing well. It is a shame that I was so unimpressed with this book as I am genuinely interested in fashion, and reading 'The Apparel Industry' made the whole process from production to retail sound extremely dull indeed.similar books
