As ever Miriam is brilliant. I'm getting this book for each set of my children's Grandparents, who have done so much to help my wife and I with the amazing but tough task of parenting. As a parent and headteacher, I'm really interested in the impact that Grandparents have in the family and community. Many of the parents at my school could not cope without Granny and Grandpa. In an age where the government is pushing for 8am-6pm Day Care, I'm increasingly interested in the role grandparents can play in teaching and caring for the new generation. In 'traditional' societies grandparents are Elders and definitely to be respected. But Grandparents need to be appreciated and rewarded. I think the real 'Sure Start' is involving Granny and Grandpa!! Miriam celebrates the role of Grandparents! Bravo!
