The idea behind this book was brilliant but it's obvious that the author's are not the devout Catholics that Tolkien was. Tolkien on numerous occasions sited the Catholic faith as his inspiration for the Lord of the Rings epic. Saying that all the characters and the story as a whole foretold the endless stuggle between good and evil, and it's a shame that the author's have dicided to leave Tolkiens inspiration out. They talk about his inspiration but have heavy trimmed it down.Overall the content of the book is good, but if they stuck to the real Tolkien, it would have been a five star book for sure.
