Following the standard protocol that all unwed females be placed on the marriage block, Rhonda finds herself about to be publically fondled by complete strangers to assess her suitability as a wife. Her exotic beauty and curvaceous figure draws plenty of unwanted attention so when a tall warrior ignores her claims that she will not tolerate being touched, the crowd of bawdy bidders are stunned into silence when she proves herself more than capable of besting a pawing admirer and attempting an escape. Overlord Nikolas Ericcson is intrigued by this wee warrior woman and after capturing her claims his Hunter's Right. As a result Rhonda finds herself effectively married to a Viking Warrior intend on overthrowing the current Jarrl.

The stories from Black and Kenyon were of their normal (and expected) high standard, each with a great plot, fabulous characters and plenty of red hot action between the sheets. Promise Me Forever by Melanie George was not the sort of romance tale I enjoy at all and I found myself skipping pages to quickly get to Black's offering. Jaid Black and Sherrilyn Kenyon are firm favourites of mine who always thoroughly entertain me with their wicked imaginations - unfortunately Ms George was the rough amongst a couple of diamonds.
