Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

2008-03-14 Honeymoon Great - Hot Shot not so great
This review is not based on a current read of these novels but having read the originals many years ago, i would heartily recommend Honeymoon. Honeymoon is one of SEP's earlier novels and one I much prefer to her later more lighter novels. Her earlier work including Glitter Baby, Fancy Pants and Honeymoon have a more serious tone to them than her later novels. Honeymoon is about a child actor called Honey Moon. It follows her through her first acting role and involves two male characters who become the two great loves of her life. One is an older man and the other a similar age. It does feature storylines around sexual abuse but these are dealt with in a sensitive manner. It is an enjoyable book with great characters. Hot Shot is not so great and in fact having read it years ago I can remember little about it apart from it being very science related! However, at this price it is worth buying for the Honeymoon story alone.similar books
