Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

Being a huge fan of Faith I was excited to get a chance to read about her past before she entered the show. I read the other reviews on here and got more excited - it sounded as if this book would really capture Faith's character.About twenty pages in something struck me - being a Faith fan I should have realized the moment I saw the cover that having a book written as Faith's diary doesn't make sense because a diary is out of character for Faith. But I let it slide... only to be further disappointed by the book.
Robert Joseph Levy puts in the effort to explain Faith's character in full and in doing so simplifies her character to a point which infuriates me. The plot wasn't exactly thrilling and some of the situations just seemed a little bit stretched, even for the Buffyverse.
There were moments were I felt as though I would enjoy the book if it wasn't attempting to be about a character I felt it couldn't capture. But for people who love Faith - I don't think this is the book for you.
I seriously regretted this buy. Finishing the book turned into a chore.
