2008-04-12 A fantastic "Alien Huntress" novel

Mishka Le'Ace is the third adult Alien Huntress to take centre stage; an invincible mix of human, alien and machine who first appears as an AIR (Alien Investigation & Removal) instructor in "Red Handed"; a "Teen Alien Huntress" novel. A beautiful, icy assassin with a computer chip embedded deep in her brain; a device which ensures her total obedience to the individual who wields her control panel, Le'Ace is considered less than human by her creators (after all she was manufactured in a Petri dish). As a result Le'Ace has done many things she wishes she hadn't; her actions coerced with the use of incredible pain when she shows any reluctance to follow the commands of her master.

Le'Ace crosses paths with AIR agent Jaxon Tremain when she is ordered by her boss to rescue him from a bunch of aliens using him as a punching bag and extract the information he carries using any means necessary. Le'Ace is left somewhat confused that the order to seduce a man does not disgust her as it normally would, yet soon Jaxon turns the tables and tempts her with feelings she's never felt before. Although he fails to disclose much about a new alien race he has been investigating, Le'Ace is soon working with him and other AIR agents to find the irresistibly beautiful Schön; a group of eleven male aliens who carry a virus already responsible for the destruction of two other worlds.

GS certainly wows with this book; producing an action packed, red hot adventure that will have you reading "Savor Me Slowly" in one sitting. Le'Ace is a deeply complex character who dreams of one day bathing in the blood of the man who controls her; yet considering her history, her bloodthirstiness is entirely reasonable. Throughout this book she becomes less the icy cool Le'Ace and more the softer Mishka (although still capable of killing in a heart beat) whilst she in turn certainly brings out the possessive and wild side of Jaxon; an agent considered remarkably self controlled before he falls in love with a woman who has been ordered to kill him. Mishka knows this order is one she can never bring herself to carry out, whatever the punishment she may face; however alien visions certainly contradict this. As a result fellow AIR agents; familiar faces Mia, Dallas, Eden and Lucius are not only hunting Schön; they are also keeping their weapons firmly pointed at Mishka Le'Ace.
