Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

2008-03-11 Most impressive
Amidst what can only be described as a veritable deluge of Star Trek novels lately (and which are divided into so many different series that never existed on TV or the silver screen that it is almost impossible to keep 'Trek' of them all), comes this delightful surprise of a book. The title 'The Buried Age' has a dual meaning, referring both to a hitherto unexplored period in Picard's life and to a period long ago in galactic history. Both tales, naturally intertwined, are very rewarding and simply incredibly well written. Starting with the loss of the Stargazer and stretching all the way to Picard becoming the captain of the Federation flagship, the Enterprise-D, this book covers 9 years of Picard's life. That is a very rich treat to be sure, as this means that this novel contains almost enough material for *two* smaller novels. And it's all good! (And no, I'm not the author nor do I know him.)
Quite simply a must-read for all Picard fans!
