Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

'To resuscitate your brain after lethal lectures have bored it to death, take DEEP breaths and think of knock-knock jokes. Slowly but surely, your brain will revive.' Amelia's back at school and has developed a whole range of tactics to help her cope. She targets the various species of difficult teachers (from 'The Monotone Mumbler' to 'The Chatty Cheerleader') and gives advice on dealing with cafeteria food ('eat only as much as is absolutely necessary and plug your nose if it's REALLY bad'). This guide is an absolute must for overcoming the back-to-school blues.
2002-07-29 Perfect for amusing yourself anywhere!
This Amelia is about school and how to survive it.Amelia is starting a new year at school and is determined to keep all her resolutions about getting there on time, being organized and so on. She writes a notebook about it, cataloging the types of teachers you can get,(doormat, grumpy etc.) how to survive various experiences, (lunches that move unaided)and has all her Amelia charm and wit along with some really cool stickers in the back for you to use. Definately deserves 5 stars.
