2008-10-19 An excellent first novel

17 year-old Noah is a character that really comes off - he's reolocated with his mum to a new town and he falls in love with the boy over the street, 'JD'. They develop a really great relationship, despite the rejection by JD's mother and the increasingly bizarre actions of Moah's mother, who finds a set of circumstances which provoke difficult and buried memories.
A heartening novel with well-developed characters and a real tear-jerker.
