2006-04-17 A CLEVER, CLEVER IDEA ... wonderful!
N.E. BODE's character Fern, a mischievous misfit, is so very lovable. At times I'd like to pinch her cheeks ... at other times I'd like to spank her. But she always keeps me entertained. She's so well crafted that she seems real to me, which is another credit to this author's writing skill.What a creative idea ... cute and clever. The cover and illustrations are unique also. What a fabulous artist!!!
This author is an excellent writer; certainly knows what kids like!
I would say I'd like to see more from BODE (BAGGETTS?), but I still have about six books to finish. Nothing like getting saturated wth a favorite kids' author.
