2008-05-25 My Favourite Book

I read this novel annually and I never tire of it. Wooding's language desribes the environment so well it enchants readers and beckons you to forget your own world. Although it is a fantasy, it is by no means a traditional fairy tale; it is dark and mysterious, with an unpredictable story that is at least 3 paces in front of you every step of the way.
It simply captures your imagination and trust me, it will not disappoint. I have forced it upon my friends, and even the few that hate fantasy books with a passion loved it, and are asking to borrow it again.
BTW totally agree with another reviewer, I always picture the Phaerie Lord as Jareth from the Labyrinth!
