2007-12-14 Life changing book!

I bought this book in February this year at a time when I was going through a sustained period of spiritual darkness, that looked like it would never end. John Piper's counsel to apply Is 58:10-11 "If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday. The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail." revolutionised my life once I started to put it into practice! Look for opportunities to help others - get in touch with them, make yourself available to help them and watch how God works!
