I think this book is very good, because in laymans terms it teaches you about laying the foundations for later training, whilst teaching basic training. How to avoid problems before you unwitingly teach bad habits during the process of training and it`s very easy to follow for the beginner.
This book is definately designed for the urban dweller as it is full of ideas about using areas around the home and immediate areas as well as conciderations about legal issues concerning dogs in built up areas.
This book has some good advice based upon experience and is a gold mine to the novice. Although this book is american orientated, so the trials information isn`t applicable, it gives you the essence that it can be adapted for the UK.
I thouroughly reccommend this book.
