2008-06-16 A good follow up to volume 1

The second volume of this short series (only 3 books in total) builds up on the strengths of the first installment and gains momentum as the story unfolds. As before the artwork is excellent. The plot thickens and hits deeper notes. The main characters open up to their feelings and their story gains resonance (even if it stays a bit naively divided between good and evil). The opposition to their relationship is clearly meant to resonate with all the Romeos and Juliets out there.

This time the whole book is dedicated to the main story without any filler at the end, which is a welcome change from volume 1. As before, I'm keen to get the next (and final) volume to see what happens.
