Andrew Holmes is a writer, grumpy old man, gadfly and collector of stories and observations about the people around him. He spends far too much time getting worked up about other people's failings for his own good and has taken up Salsa dancing to take his mind off it all. he likes to spend as much time as possible with his family - at home, with the curtains drawn, the phone off the hook and the door locked securely. Dan Wilson is an illustrator, artist, thinker and borderline genius who clearly suffers delusions of grandeur. he started doodling at the age of three and has rarely stopped. Allergic to suits, Dan avoids all pains in public by hiding out in his ivory tower in front of the drawing board. He also enjoys tea, pylons and riding his All Terrain Board.

2006-02-20 Great book that give insight into people characters at work

I have read this book, its funny and well written by the author. The book title says it all. Everthing that is written in the book sums up how various people behave in the office such as how they get on with their boss and their collegues and how office politics develops and grows. In brief this book has good information if you struggle to get on with people in your office and hate your job.

As the book title suggests, these people are divided into 50 and each is given a name such as The Bully, The Moaner, The Egotist The Nitpicker etc The book is divided in its contents according to who they are as above. A description of the general characteristics of each is given say for the bully, and ratings are given according to annoyance, rarity, seasonal variations and avoidance/revenge strategies.

A really interesting book to read and i strongly recommend it to anyone who doesn't like their work and is going through hell in working with people in their office. A must read!!! don't miss it!!
