Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

2005-11-22 I don't care , I'm Tansley
I think it?s fair to say I used to be a bit of a care-free ?out there? kind of a guy who was always up for the rock and roll? until one night I had a breakdown in a nightclub car park. It was down to some serious circumstances at the time and I was going through more than most will in their lifetime. Ever since that fateful night I have struggled to contain both my moods and comments.I?ve gone from happy to sad in the space of a minute and life often seems brill at one moment and rubbish the next. Doing weight lifting and working as a dancer in Club Sailor helped me with the swings in mood in the short-term but soon enough I was back to my old ways. This leads me onto this book, which I stumbled upon whilst looking for a 52? Plasma TV (one of my eccentricities), it has allowed me to work through my emotions and become more balanced and positive. Only the other day I was preparing myself to travel to meet my friend but couldn?t in the end ? I was philosophical and realised it just wasn?t mean to be.
I?ve moved in with my boyfriend after reading this book ? something I never thought I?d do whilst I was up and down all the time.
That balloon is going nowhere.
