2007-08-08 A taste of things to come........

Having read Anthea Cohen's books in the wrong order - I came across this, the first 'Nurse Agnes Carmichael' book, only recently.
It sets the scene - I feel - for the episodes to come, as Agnes does not seem to feature as the main character, particularly. Many characters have an equal share in the narrative of this story. The books which follow are more definitely focused upon Nurse Carmichael and her unique forms of retribution upon those who have not shown appropriate respect. The subsequent books are, probably, a better read and much more insightful into her vengeful nature - one just can't help empathising with her!!
