2003-08-27 Essential Skills for Managers of Child-Centres Settings
This is a book full of practical tips based on sound theory and written in an accessible style for managers of childcare settings. After reading it myself and learning so much, I am issuing it to all the managers in our chain of day nurseries so that we can study it together. It will also help me in my tutoring and coaching role. Chapter one is about confidence, so easily over looked by managers in other vocations, but so important with people in the caring vocations. The other chapters are on vision, reflective practice, decision-making, giving feedback, change management, inclusive practice, time management, building a team and evaluation and together are an invaluable resource for all managers in childcare. Thank you Emma Isles-Buck and Shelly Newstead!similar books
