2007-03-13 The only good student dictionary available for the Tigrigna language

I work for the refugee council Education Department and assist asylum seekers from Eretria, Ethiopia and Somali to pass the Home Office English Language test. I have found this dictionary to be very useful tool for communicating between English and Tigrigna and it serves it purpose. It has an introduction from the head of the University of Asmara in Eretria and extensive notes in the Tigrigna language - I find this Dictionary a great help for my work and use it very often to prepare course work. The Dictionary is printed in Britain on better quality paper then the first edition which was printed in India. This one has some updated definitions and many more pages compared to the older editions. Even though this seems to be the only dictionary widely available in the Tigrigna language and there is not much choice for a comparison I recommend the dictionary.
