Alice Hansen is a Lecturer in Primary Mathematics Education at St Martin's College, Lancaster. When training to be a teacher it's tempting to focus on teaching skills and neglect subject knoweldge. But the two are interlinked. The better you know your subject - the more confident you will be in the classroom. This book covers everything from basic arithmetic to trig. Each chapter includes summaries and questions - to help you make sure that everything has sunk in. A great book - especially for anyone who's last real experience of maths was age 16!
