"A dreamy moral stroy, lavishly illustrated"
Have you ever seen a mermaid? Eliza has! And this is the story of how she and a little mermaid become the most inseparable of friends... Ages 5-7.
This is another beautiful book, with a magical storyline, from the ever popular Jane Ray. Have you ever seen a mermaid? Eliza has and this is the captivating story of how Eliza and a mermaid become the very best of friends.

2006-03-16 Read it again mummy!

My daughter who is nearly two loves this book being read to her and is fascinated by mermaids now! I like the fact that it has some depth (no pun intended) to the story and deals with separation from parents and home plus shyness and making friends, albeit with a happy ending. As a parent it is refreshing to read something with some bite rather than stuff about purple dinosaurs. If I had to criticise, I'd say that it needs a little more story development and to show the mermaid being reunited with her family. Don't let that put you off - we love it!
