She spent several years in Kyiv with the International Finance Corporation and the non-profit US-Ukraine Foundation working on privatization, economic development and government reform. In addition, she has worked in Belarus and Tajikistan. She earned her BA in Russian Studies from Bryn Mawr college, PA, an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from BPP Law School, London.
