2008-02-18 Chick Lit at its very worst

I bought this book on the strength of one reviewer describing McAuley as perhaps the new Maeve Binchy whose fiction I love. Forget it! This book was absolute dross. Perhaps I should've given the storyline more chance to develop but after 30 pages of banality, I tossed it across the bedroom floor.
