2004-10-18 Agree or Disagree, parents should read this book
I liked Liberate Parents, Liberated Children. I came across it by accident and found the name catchy. I am a social worker, a parent, and a visiting Professor in the UK. I am always looking for new sources of information. I'm glad I picked this one up. I think most parents will find it helpful and well worth the time expense to read. Our parent-child relationships are worth every effort we put into them. I also liked Systemic Parenting: An Exploration of the Parenting Big Picture (Gaskill). Systemic Parenting provides a bit more detail and is a bit more resourceful, however, both books seem very complimentary of the other. That is, there is not a great deal of overlap in subject matter. Both should be in the libraries of every parent.
