An excellent all round book on the Scharnhorst class battlecruisers. To the non-technical it allows you to see the life and death of these great ships that caused so much trouble to the Royal Navy and formed the backbone of the German heavy ships of World War Two. The technical diagrams are easy to understand, the the collection of photographs help the reader the great a good view of how they really looked throughout their careers. The book is not especially big but the there is a great deal of information held within it. It is a book for people with interest in the subject but it also allows everybody else to understand and see the life of these majestic ships.
