Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

"An invaluable tool for the aspiring writer."
"Highly recommended."
" By far the best book on writing I have read."
"This book is an antidote to the bad advice aspiring writers are
often given. There are only two books on writing I recommend--Stephen
King's and this one."

More than just a 'how-to" book, Your Writing Coach is a friendly companion and mentor, providing all the strategies needed to become a full-time writer and build a successful writing career. Unique chapter bonuses linked to special website featuring interviews with leading producers, directors and agents which other writing books don't have. Jurgen Wolff offers advice not only on managing time, but also motivation, energy and support. Drawing on a wide variety of disciplines and approaches, including NLP, "Your Writing Coach" offers breakthrough techniques for finding the time, the will and the way to write.Featuring exercises, quotes and encouragement Jurgen Wolff shows you how to hook readers and keep them engaged and offers powerful tips on how to stay motivated and transform your inner critic into a constructive guide to get past the dreaded writer's block. Finally, it offers advice on marketing yourself and your work, and the tremendous opportunities offered by the new media - the internet, blogs, podcasts, and much more - for writers smart enough to find them.
Too many writing books deal only with the craft of writing
and leave out very important aspects such as getting support for your
writing from family and friends, knowing how to deal with rejection, and
how to stand out in today's crowded marketplace when you're selling what
you've written. My goal is for this book to serve as your writing coach,
helping you with support and information all the way from the idea through
to publication or production.
audio interviews with writers, agents, and others--these are unlocked when
you type in the code words you'll find at the end of each chapter of the
book. I wish you the best of luck with your writing.

2008-08-25 If you're looking for a book to help with creative writing, buy this first
I was one of those people who said for years that they wanted to write, but never quite got round to it. In January of this year, I decided to stop procrastinating and DO something about it. I bought lots and lots of books on writing, and I have to say that of the seven or eight I bought, ''Your Writing Coach'' is by far the best (with Stephen King's ''On Writing'' coming a close second.)First of all, it's immensely readable. Like one of the other reviewers of this book, I read it from cover to cover, rather than just dipping into it, though now I am writing regularly, I refer to sections of it again and again.
It is very well laid out, with an overview of each chapter, and a summary of the key points, along with exercises to help you. There are also bonus features, in the form of an internet link, at the end of each section. These links will take you to interviews and advice from writing and marketing experts.
If you are planning on writing for publication, this book is an invaluable guide which will answer most of your questions. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
