This is one of the best new books on ritual magic for a long time, and is a collaboration between two very highly respected ritual magicians. Dion Fortune actually died in 1946, but this collection of her unpublished papers has been expanded and updated by Gareth Knight, who also adds the practical information which Dion Fortune omitted for reasons of secrecy. The book is aimed at the serious student of the esoteric rather than the curious dabbler, but it is still very readable and contains much thought-provoking material plus a couple of full-blown rituals.
