Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

Serial Experiments Lain is explained fully in this book. As a Linguist I enjoyed this book because it describes hidden undertones and "reads between the lines" of the script and the things that actually appear on screen. The books introduction doesn't only summarise the book as you would think, but actually sees how 'Lain' applies to real life by looking at aspects of religion.
The book looks at and describes all 13 episodes of the series, and is a brilliant guide to the anime. The book then describes the characters and how they apply to their roles.
This book is absolutely perfect. After seeing the anime and then reading the book, I recommend both. if you arent yet a fan, buy the anime, and if you are, buy this book.
