i bought all three volumes and I'm amazed. the book is not only an essential source for everyone who loves films outside the mainstream, its also an amazing achievement and i can only assume that the authors must have put more work in it than they're probably being paid for. the books are informative on both the quality of the individual dvd editions and the films as such. and be warned - they certainly are addictive! they're all here - weird and bizarre forgotten masterpieces, described and analyzed with sympathy and insight without ever turning into uncritical fan-literature. trow away your reference works, kael, ebert and even aurum! the films analyzed here range from mainstream genre cinema (thriller, horror), through "art" cinema to the somewhat less respectable and therefore totally irresistible works of giallo, sleaze, horror, trash and exploitation cinema worldwide.
