2008-07-31 Terrible.

Unlike some previous reviews stating people couldnt put the book down i really struggled to pick the book up after half a dozen or so pages.

The book is basically a collection of stories from Bouncers across the uk, some well known, some known from various tv series & some unknowns ( at least to the reader, no doubt there were known on their respective doors)

The main issue with so many short stories is that there is no real background to the people telling them, with other books you can build up an image of the person behind the print & have some sort of stucture where as in this book i found it hard to care too much for the tales when little was known about the background.

The stories also became very very repetitive, i didnt expect a Harry potter type fleshing out of the characters but as mentioned above with so little background it fades inti a collection of bashing big rugby players, biting ears off & spilling claret everywhere.

I have a great collection of books from the genre but most of these are dedicated to a specific person so its easy to embrace the stores being told.

Even with a Tie on this book would hear the words
'You ain't comin' in tonight son!'
