Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

This book is essentially the second edition of the GP Registrar Survival Guide published in 2002 by BIOS and winner of a 2003 Society of Authors and Royal Society of Medicine award. This new edition is still aimed primarily at the GP Registrar but now also contains information for family doctors from abroad looking to work in the UK and doctors returning to general practice after a break. The book is an up-to-date, practical guide and resource tool for all GPs new to UK primary care and will help them through their daily life as a GP.

I am a newly qualified GP and I found this book very useful. It contains all the bits of information that it is hard to find anywhere else, especially the practicalities. For example it tells you how exactly to section someone and how to be self employed for locum purposes. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is working as a GP in England for the first time.similar books
