Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

In this charming adventure from the best-selling Barefoot team Stella Blackstone and Clare Beaton, readers are invited to join a curious puppy as he travels all over the world, asking a colourful array of other baby animals, What is the name of the baby kangaroo? HIGHLIGHTS An enchanting picture book for new babies and for family and nursery readalouds. Questions and repetition in the text encourage reader/child interaction. Tightly linked illustration and text allows for easy follow-along. Contains informative notes on each of the featured animals and their babies.
2006-02-21 unusual, attractive book for toddlers
A very attractive board book illustrated with embroidery and fabric collage pictures. The rhyming story is about different animal mothers and the different names for their babies, and on the last page we find out that a baby kangaroo is called a joey - so highly recommended for all children called Joey! It's not as attractive as Secret Seahorse by the same author & illustrator, but a very nice book. My only criticism is the font size is very small and not a very attractive font which I feel lets the book down very slightly - but I still recommended it quite highly.similar books
