2008-03-01 A totally sublime read. Magnificent.
Presented with stunning, high gloss, full colour illustrations I never believed that reading Shakespeare could be so enjoyable. From cover to cover, the contents left me totally spellbound and actually gave me a wonderful sense of achievement that for the first time, I had actually managed to complete and UNDERSTAND a Shakespeare play. Furthermore the plain text version was delightful as it was brilliantly easy to follow and yet was worded in an "old english" tongue that still sounded classical.
Also included as a bonus, were historical references to the actual Battle of Agincourt, the early life of Shakespeare and the origins/reconstruction of the Globe Theatre.
This publication is presented so beautifully, it leaves one wanting more and certainly ignites one's interest to pursue other wonderful plays in this format. My only regret is, that this publication was not available when I was wading through Shakespeare, in my teens. Highly recommended and money well spent. Thankyou again.
