2008-06-20 Entertaining and Thought-provoking
After reading 100th Generation, the first in the Ibis Prophecy series, I couldn't wait to read Vulture's Kiss, the sequel which proved to be even more of a page turner. I enjoyed it immensely. It continues the adventures of Egyptologist Valerie Foret and even weaves in two romances separated by a thousand years - but it is so much more than that. Effortlessly, Vulture's Kiss, so thoroughly researched, examines religious dogma from the time of the crusades right up to the present day, with insight, knowledge and flair. Saracen points the finger at militarism from the three main monotheist religions and shows some of the negative consequences, yet she serves this up as a delightfully palatable and easy read. I couldn't put this book down. I also think it would make a wonderful, thought-provoking movie.similar books
