Black Jack the Manga is one of the best manga comics I have ever had the pleasure to see! Black Jack himself is "A Surgeon With The Hands Of God" with the ability to perform proceedures far surpassing that of any other. His companion, the forward, funny and at times annoying but never unnecessary, Pinoko fills in most aspects of a family for Jack. She's like his mother, his daughter, his best friend and his housekeeper all rolled into one small girl.
I seriously suggest you buy this book of you're into the more emotional side of manga, the plot is easy to follow, the characters are easy to love and the events are easy to believe.
