2003-02-19 One of my favourites, but...

This book comprises a very fine collection of the photographic works of Eric Kroll, displaying his passion for sexy women in unusual clothing, positions, or settings.
Kroll consistently produces some of the more stimulating erotic photographs in the genre, and this collection provides the reader with a good introduction to his themes (it was the frst work of his I saw, and it provided me with my introduction to Kroll's work).

The only reason this book has dropped a star from the maximum five, is because to many people Kroll's work can seem a little staged - it's not an attempt at a candid portrayal of anyone's sex-life - he dresses his models, positions them, and takes great care to produce the picture exactly the way he wants, with attention payed to every detail. For this reason, I would sub-categorise his work as erotic, even fetishistic, photographic art, and this is not what everyone is looking for (it is, however, what I myself prefer). This limits the books' potential appeal, and an otherwise 5-star book drops down a place.

However, if that's what you're looking for, I heartily recommend any of Eric Kroll's works to you, especially this one.
