2008-06-12 Excellent reprint of essential piece of local history
I once saw a copy of this book from the original 1893 printing, and am very impressed with this reproduction, which contains many old black and white photos of the steekworks in its prime. amazing to think of how these people were pioneers back then, but just over 100 years later its all gone.It's possible to even buy copies of the prints from the book, so I bought a print of the Company Offices, which also looks superb on the wall. Nice to see some publishers are not totally motivated by profit alone.
