Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

2001-06-13 Undoubtedly an expert on Jung but not for beginners
I have read the book one and half times. The reason for the half is that whilst reading the first time I felt that the theories and explanations would become more clear upon a second reading. However half way through the second reading I felt exactly the same which to me suggests that this book is not one for beginners. I am thus looking for a simpler text which once read will hopefully encourage me to re-visit this one. There are also a huge number of sub-text notes which tended I found to distract me. I have heard it said that Jung himself whilst a brilliant thinker was not so good at explaining his ideas and thus given Jacobi's close approval from Jung himself suggests possibly that greater detachment is necessary. All of which maybe indicate a greater criticism of me than the Author but will hopefully help others decide whether to buy this book.similar books
